Meet Annie!
Meet: Annie! She's from Miami and is normally based in NY. Currently, she works as senior manager of social & content for Farrynheight, a brand marketing agency.
At Farrynheight, she spends her days developing social strategy decks and monthly social calendars, producing a variety of content shoots, and more, for a handful of clients. Also a partner and director of brand for Jrk!, a Jamaican fast-casual concept located in Miami, you could say Annie does it all when it comes to brand marketing. We chatted with her to learn a bit more about Annie, what inspires her, and her best tips for great work.
Please tell us a bit about you, your background, what you do, and what you love!
My name is Annie! I am from Miami but normally based in NY! I currently work as senior manager of social & content for Farrynheight, a brand marketing agency, where I get to spend my days developing social strategy decks and monthly social calendars, producing a variety of content shoots, and more, for a handful of our clients! I am also a partner and director of brand for Jrk!, a Jamaican fast-casual concept located in Miami.
What does “doing you” mean to you?
Doing me means I am passionate about what my day to day entails. It is so important to love what you do, especially when working with a lot of startups often in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Work can feel exhausting for so many, but the real truth is that when you are doing what you love, time flies and excitement overpowers all.
What can you rely on the most to make you happy?
Travel, music and fitness inspires me and makes me the most happy.
What are you most excited about right now?
Excited about the growth of both companies I work with and to be moving back to NY soon!
What are three things you can’t live without?
A good moisturizer, caffeine, and a calendar.
How do you structure your time / stay productive?
I love to prep for the day ahead in the evenings. I typically will make a to-do list and order them based on priorities for the week. Then I’ll find gaps in my calendar in between calls to block out time to get those things done!
How do you deal with burnout/stress?
I really try to turn off on the weekends! A full two days of sunshine can really work wonders for me!

What’s something recent that has surprised you?
I guess it isn’t so surprising that Instagram is shifting it’s algorithm to be a more direct competitor to TikTok, but selfishly I loved it as a photo-first platform and am sad to hear it will not be that way for much longer.

What are your favorite songs/genre of music/playlist right now?
I’m a sucker for @tinx’s cartime playlist at the moment, but really love so many different kinds of music depending on my mood. Some of my favorites - John Mayer, Mac Miller, Bad Bunny, Dominic Fike, Frank Ocean, SZA, Peggy Gou
